Registration & Membership

Registration and membership sales happen through Burner tickets, with normal membership sales starting on Sunday 27th May 2018 6:00pm CET on https://burnertickets.com/schloss-schonburn/.

Why do I have to fill a questionnaire when getting a membership ?

This is going to be a special event! First of all it is a burn, which has its own culture and principles. Secondly, it relies strongly on participants' involvement, as everybody is seen as a co-creator, and we (the core orga team) will only take care of the most basic organisation and leadership. This is why we ask a bunch of (silly yet serious) questions to make sure you understand what you are getting yourself into.

You can separately register here to edit this Wiki (where co-creating starts!), but your changes will be subject to approval. If you plan to actively contribute, please let us know and we can make you an editor. To log into the dreams platform, where the magic of art and project funding will happen, you'll need to use the same email address you used at Burner tickets.

Membership information

  • Total memberships are limited to 250 people.
  • Memberships are personal to your name, but transferrable.
  • There are three sales periods: Early bird (April 15 – May 12), Sleepy bird (May 27 – July 14), and FOMO bird (after July 15). The earlier you purchase, the cheaper the membership.
  • There are four membership categories: Comfy (bunk bed), Cozy (indoor “Matrazenlager”), Nature (camping, including guests sleeping in an RV), and finally RV (for the driver of a mobile home). Due to limited capacity, the comfier the accommodation, the greater the price.
  • There is an option for low-income memberships (with approved application) after the Early bird period is over.

The normal memberships are priced as follows:

  • Comfy Sleepy Bird € 75.00
  • Cosy Sleepy Bird € 67.00
  • Nature Sleepy Bird € 60.00
  • RV Sleepy Bird € 75.00

How to register?

Registration and membership sales happen through Burner tickets.

  • Application for a low-income membership is CLOSED
  • Application for reduced youth memberships (ages 12-18) is CLOSED
  • If you want to burn with your kids who are <12 years, please get in touch with us schsch@burners.at
  • The castle and the grounds are not wheelchair accessible. However, the bathroom close to Room 8 is accessible so bunk bed accommodation is possible and we collectively will do our best to help you if you need assistance.

Low-income memberships

We would like to ensure that everyone has the possibility to join our event and come to Schloss Schönburn this September. That’s why we are happy to also offer a limited amount of low-income memberships this year.

These cost 35 € each, plus the fee for your choice of accommodation.

To obtain a low-income membership, please fill in the application form and let us know why you need one. Applications for low-income memberships are CLOSED.

Before applying, we kindly ask that you consider that some people might be in greater need for a low-income membership, and since the amount of these is limited not everyone will be able to get one.

Once your application has been processed, you will be notified whether it has met the requirements. If your application is approved, you will receive a code that can be used to buy a reduced membership at https://burnertickets.com/schloss-schonburn.

Please be aware that there will be NO MEMBERSHIPS RESERVED for low-income codes. You need to go through the regular purchasing procedure and make sure you get your membership by using the received code in the main sale that starts on May 13th, 18:00 CET – once memberships are sold out, the low-income codes lose validity.

What to do next?

Now the important part begins: co-creation!

  • Read through this Wiki. Start interacting with it. See something important missing? Add it!
  • Join our main communication channel - slack (http://schlossschoenburn.slack.com) - which is used for almost all organisation so far, and ask questions or propose ideas or improvements. With your registration email you get a link to join the channel.
  • Volunteer for communal tasks such as gate shifts, greeting, welfare, LNT, … . How to do that? Organise yourselves into groups, start a dedicated Wiki page, or create a slack channel.
