Dear burners in Vienna,
we would love to invite you to start the burn season with us in the beginning of spring. Follow us past the rainbow to the world of Kawaii. Together we will take a break from the default world with a BOOM in the party cellar of Tokyo Boom.
Save the date and let’s start dreaming the upcoming colourful gathering together. It’s up to you to come as you are, or to use the occasion to come as Hello Kitty or Pikachu, or to choose any magical creature you always wanted to be.
We are looking forward to creating a burnish BOOM together!
Location
Tokyo Boom will be hosting us for the first time in their party cellar downstairs. When entering the venue, follow the stairs down instead of going to the right where the restaurant is.
There is a soundsystem we can plug into, a bar, seating areas, and of course space to dance, talk and chill.
To be in compliance with the location’s rules, we have to be informed about visitors younger than 22 years old. Please get in touch with us if this applies to you.
Doors
To create a safer space, we will need a few volunteers for the Greeters team to make sure that every visitor understands the event and its principles. Please sign up using this sheet!
Live Music and DJs
Unfortunately the space doesn’t have a stage or enough equipment to organise live concerts. We will adapt the program accordingly by offering the chance to perform acoustically. If you would like to perform, play live music, or be one of the DJ’s, please sign up using this form until 3.3.2024 23:59 CEST.
Workshops
Before we start the music, there is some time and space to have fun together and perhaps learn something new! If you would like to facilitate a workshop or an art table etc., please sign up using this form until 3.3.2024 23:59 CEST.
Karaoke
Whether you’re a seasoned karaoke pro or a first-time crooner, Karaoke at the Burning Café Extended might be your stage to shine! With Tokyo Boom we have the unique opportunity to sing karaoke together and are considering integrating a session in the beginning of the evening. You love this idea and would like to moderate or maybe make a game out of it? Great! We can’t wait to hear from you.

Food
Even though delicious vegan Japanese food is served at the restaurant upstairs, we are allowed to bring our own. Feel free to bring some delicious snacks to share and gift in the corner we will set up for it! To radically include everyone, try to select something vegan (and perhaps gluten-free) and don’t forget to bring your cutlery and plates.
Bar
Drinks will be served by the bar (cash only), please do not bring your own as a gift. Food upstairs can be paid with cash and card.
CONSENT !FIRST! PHOTO POLICY
To allow everyone to express themselves radically and to feel at ease at all times, we have a policy “Consent !first!, then Photo”. You are only allowed to take a photo depicting a person after you have explained to the person that you want to take a photo, for what purpose you take it, and where you intend to publish the photo. Only after all depicted people gave a clear verbal yes to purpose and publication audience was given, you can make a photo. Please keep this in mind and remind other guests when needed. We might have an official photographer wearing a batch taking pictures of people, art and decoration
Smoking
Dear smokers, if you live in Vienna you might be familiar with the game – “Nachbarn & Lärmbelästigung”. Feel free to smoke next to the entrance until 22:00. Afterwards, we would kindly ask you to smoke on the other side of the road in the park in order to reduce the noise level and to avoid any complains by the neighbours
Decoration
The place is colourful as it is, but it could take a bit more of a burnish touch. Feel free to bring art and decoration that is easily set up since we won’t have much time for build. Allow your imagination to run wild! Please be careful though with aggressive duct tape. Make sure, anything you hang stuff with can be easily taken down at the end of the event without leaving any trace! ;-
